Taffy Nahas has been practicing law in the Ottawa area since 1988. He received his Bachelor of Commerce ( Honors, cum laude ) from the University of Ottawa in 1983. He proceeded to attend Law School and graduated with his Bachelor of Laws ( cum laude ) in 1986. He was called to the Bar in 1988 with the Law Society of Upper Canada. He worked for Lang, Michener, Honeywell & Wotherspoon, Barristers & Solicitors until 1991, where he was an Associate dealing with Real Estate, Corporate and Commercial Law. Taffy has set up hi own practice in 1991 and has been serving the Ottawa area through his office at 1335 Carling Avenue, Suite 415. Taffy has lived in Ottawa his whole life and was married in 1992. He and his wife have four wonderful children.

• conducting search of title, compliance with applicable
  zoning by-law, tax, water, gas and hydro accounts of the
  property and review of results of same;
• preperation of the closing documents including mortgage
  documents and forwarding same to the solicitors for the
  vendor's executive;
• attendance with you for execution of charge(s)/mortgage(s),
  Land Trasfer Tax Affidavit and other documetns necassary
  for closing;

follows:

• receipt and review of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale;
• obtaining the mortgage discharge and registration of
  mortgage discharge of mortgage in favor of mortgagee;
• preparation of transfer/deed and other closing documents
  and forwarding the same to the solicitors for the purchaser's
  execution;
• attendance with you for execution of the sale documents
  and other documents necassary for closing;
• attendance at the Land Titles/Registry Office to close the
  transaction;
• reporting to you herein.

MORTGAGES

Typical services rendered on your behalf with
respect to this matter, and more particularly as follows:

• receipt and review of the mortgage instructions;
• subsearch of title and obtaining the mortgage discharge and
  registration of mortgage, discharge of mortgage in favor of
  mortgagee;
• preparation of mortgage documents and other closing
  documents and forwarding same to the mortgagee for their
  approval;
• attendance with you for execution of the mortgage
  documents and other documents necassary for closing;
• attendance at the Land Titles/Registry Office to close the
